Back to the Cave!

Well now that the January Goals and “Resolution Rewind” is complete, its time to move on to February now that its the first day in the month!

If you remember here, two of my co-workers and I are creating NEW goals EVERY month rather than a few resolutions. This way, we’re more likely to stick to them!

We typically have one fitness and one nutrition-based.

This month, I’m keeping my goal to workout 5 days a week. I’m managing to tackle this one, but I knew that I wouldn’t do it if I removed it from my goals. So its back on the list for February.

I also need to lock it down on my nutrition. I went ahead and lost three pounds and then gained two back because I lost track of my meal plan. Therefore…wait for it…

I’m going back to the Cave! Cave Man Cleanse (of sorts) that is! OK. So it’s not completely the Cave Man Cleanse (check those details out here), but its basically pretty similar. My goal is to stay away from all processed carbohydrates/carbs for the month.

Therefore, I’ll get all of my carbohydrate needs (it does provide energy after all!) from fruits and veggies.

What’s funny is that as I was waiting for a meeting, I inadvertantly snagged a mint. Doh! Come on! One mindless mistake already. Geez. Now do you see why I had to make this one a goal??

February will probably mean that I will be MISERABLE because of my limitations, but at least I haven’t given up Diet Coke – yet.
